ADGA has a current opportunity for an Intermediate Systems Engineer. Reporting to the Chief Engineer the successful candidate will be providing development for Microsoft Exchange and other messaging applications. This role will work collaboratively with internal and external teams on a number of projects.

Some tasks the successful candidate will perform:

• ­Evaluate new versions of MS Exchange and other messaging applications, and provide recommendations for updates in the context of the LCSS environment
• Perform upgrades as required including the installation, integration, test, documentation and support of new versions
• Maintain awareness of vulnerabilities and take proactive approach that minimizes disruptions
• Participate in architecture evolution as a Subject Matter Expert for messaging applications; and perform proof-of-concept as required
• Ensure that any solution supports field deployment

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in computer science, systems administration or equivalent experience
• Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Exchange 2019
• Experience installing and configuring OpenFire and Chat
• Experience with Microsoft Server 2019 server
• Knowledge of LCSS Headquarters architecture will be considered a strong asset
• Knowledge of Titus Classification an asset
• Knowledge of networking, network security, Active Directory infrastructure an asset
• Experience with VMWare and working in a containerized environment an asset
• Knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), security certificates and CA an asset
• Experience troubleshooting problems
• Ability to work in large teams and complex environments
• Proactive attitude in learning a complex system and resolving issues, both autonomously and within a team
• Familiarity with development processes and Agile methodology an asset

Additional Information

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance
