Internal Tools Developer/It Specialist

BinSentry is growing in multiples every year and we have grown to the point where we have more than enough work to hire someone full time in the area of IT support and Internal Tools development. This is an entry level to intermediate level position and will be the first full time role of this kind at BinSentry. Considering the breadth of the responsibilities for this role, the best candidates will be a jack of all trades in technology.

This is a local, in person position. Do not apply if you are seeking remote work.

Minimum qualifications:

• Some programming experience in Javascript, ideally Node.js
• Ability to use command line tools and basic bash scripting
• Reformatting and installing Windows and Ubuntu
• Hands on networking experience such as wi-fi troubleshooting
• Ability to quickly learn complex software tools

  • Integrate external softwares into BinSentry
  • Write small scripts in bash to help automate tasks

  • Configure inventory, sales and financing software for departments
  • Data entry

  • Troubleshooting computer issues
  • Reformatting/installing operating systems
  • Managing IT inventory
  • Troubleshoot wi-fi from time to time
  • Run ethernet cables to switches and hubs

BinSentry is creating the Mill of the Future

BinSentry is an Internet of Things (IoT) startup in the AgTech (agriculture technology) industry. Our sensors help monitor inventory for feed bins by predicting future consumption using deep learning and generating optimal shipping routes using genetic algorithms. We design, manufacture, and assemble our own hardware but we put a heavy focus on software services as well. Our software leverages the power of our sensor to automate numerous aspects of a feed mill; from ordering feed to delivering it. We offer both our hardware and software as a service (HaaS and SaaS).
