What You’ll Do

- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving issues
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the department and ensure that personnel issue materials correctly based on Pick List requirements to maintain a continuous flow of parts to assembly
- Responsible for evaluating department staff and completing annual performance reviews, as well as, taking disciplinary measures as needed. Documents team member performance and attendance on a daily basis
- Oversee receipt discrepancies regarding Inventory or kitted sub-assemblies and communicate issues to management that could result in process delays or safety issues
- Assign Safety training for the direct reports in a timely manner. Monitor work area for potential hazards
- Continuous improvement and support with cross training in ERP (M1) transactions, as well as working with finance, planning and accounting to disposition obsolete inventory and annual counts
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical discipline, 5 years work experience in relevant field, or equivalent; 5-10 years of supervisory experience is preferred
- Analytical capabilities including data analysis to optimize inventory levels; advanced MS Excel skills required; experience with standard ERP software and MOS
- Experience in selecting, supporting, and developing new team members
- High level of communication and strong process-driven skills required
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with meticulous attention to detail while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including splits and/or night shifts
