The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in White Rock is seeking an Investment Associate (Trade Execution Specialist) to join a successful Private Investment Management Team. You will execute all portfolio trading and support the Portfolio Manager in keeping portfolio models up to date.
What will you do?
- Execute model portfolio changes (Trading Execution)
- Ensuring trading models are up to date on a weekly/monthly basis
- Reviewing cash balances (debits & credits) for investment or debit coverage for discretionary and non-discretionary accounts
- Execute all other trading for team members. (i.e. post client review portfolio changes, monthly payments, ad hoc client cash requests)
- Reviewing and maintaining Private Investment Management (PIM) Dashboard. Keeping client accounts on side with regards to their current Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
- Reviewing and maintaining daily transaction reports for investment of funds (i.e. deposits, contributions, PACs).
- Reviewing and executing on any reorg notices
- Pulling and reviewing team specific specialized reporting
- General administrative tasks such as TFSA and RRSP contributions, charitable donations, share deposits
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Nice-to-have
- 4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
- Approval as an Investment Representative (IR) with IIROC
- Highly-developed technical skills

The expected salary range for the above position is $37,500 - $45,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
