CloudHawk designs and develops asset tracking and monitoring software, equipment, and IoT devices with a mission to increase visibility, efficiency, safety, and sustainability of fleet operations across multiple industries. Our technology enables businesses to track corporate vehicles and assets, increase real-time situational awareness, prevent theft, and gain valuable business insights.

Be a part of our mission to revolutionize the way businesses manage their fleet.

We are looking for an IoT Hardware Assembler / Shipper to join our incredible team. You will work closely with the other individual in this role to ensure hardware is assembled, tested, and quality controlled before being shipped to customers.

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Assemble IoT hardware (stripping wires, tightening glands, checking gaskets, and precision-torquing plastic housings)
  • Conduct the IoT hardware pre-shipment testing and quality control process, including maintaining accurate records of device testing results in ERP system
  • Track hardware inventory and maintain an accurate inventory database
  • Collaborate with the product team, as required, to accomplish deliverables
  • Prepare and package hardware for shipping
  • Use FedEx and Purolator shipping portals for creating and printing labels

What CloudHawk brings to the table:

  • People: Our team is composed of an experienced and expanding team of engineers, researchers, and designers who together have over 250 assigned patents.
  • Culture: We believe we work better together. We support one another and thrive in an environment built on trust, respect, and authenticity.
  • Flexibility: Understanding that there is life outside of work, we operate in a flexible, hybrid environment. We also offer a Flexible Time Off Policy versus a set number of vacation days.
  • Health and Wellness: We offer a generous benefits package and prioritize our employees’ mental health at every stage of their journey with us.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Comfort working with Microsoft Excel and other basic desktop Office applications for tasks, such as recording testing results, serial numbers, and other data in spreadsheets
  • A process-oriented mentality with the ability to multi-task, organize, and adapt to changing business priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills with the passion and drive to get the job done well
  • You are a self-aware individual who is eager to contribute feedback and ideas
  • A positive attitude, curious mind and a strong willingness to learn

Bonus points if you have:

  • An Electronics / Technician diploma or other relevant post-secondary education
  • Experience in IoT / automotive / consumer electronics manufacturing and/or quality control
  • Exposure to soldering surface-mounted components on dense PCBs
  • Experience writing testing / diagnostic scripts in Python
