Job description

As a Delivery Lead in the Digital Studio team at National Bank, you'll act as a specialist in agility and IT delivery. Through your management and mobilization skills, your experience in organizing, managing, and delivering IT projects, as well as your knowledge of Scrum and SAFe, you have a positive impact directly on our client's experience and on our projects' success.

Your role:

  • Carry out in full control, and aligned with the expected leadership for the role, the day-to-day management of delivery, including velocity, capacity, progress, and release activities.
  • Support the manager in the effective management of various initiatives surrounding the team (budgets, schedule, risks, challenges, dependencies, blockers, asset management, etc.).
  • Align the planning of development activities with the overall project delivery plan.
  • Coordinate production activities with external contributors to the team, if applicable.
  • Provide progress updates through various communication channels.
  • Oversee and facilitate activities and relationships with stakeholders.
  • Support Product Owners (PO) in prioritizing and refining activities.
  • Monitor Agile development teams (Scrum approach), aligning needs and potential changes.
  • Influence the team to have a certain tolerance for the unknown by working with assumptions and ensuring the team's commitment to them.
  • Foster team accountability for its commitments and goals.
  • Act as a coach for less experienced colleagues in the use of agile methodology and propose improvements that support feature delivery.

As part of the digital sector, you’ll be on a large team of around a hundred colleagues and you’ll report to Senior Digital Director. Prerequisites:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in a related field and several years of relevant experience or another diploma related to the field and several years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in coordinating agile teams and knowledge of development methodologies (traditional, agile).
  • Comfort with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (SAFe) and the role of Scrum Master, essential.
  • Knowledge in coordinating, planning based on constraints, monitoring, and delivery of digital IT projects.
  • Capacity to manage priorities in a multi-project environment.
