As a key member of the IT team, the IT Help Desk Administrator will provide basic Help Desk support and assistance to employees with computer desktop software, hardware, printer, network, or system problems. The IT Help Desk Administrator will be a key component of general support for providing end-user help, training, troubleshooting and support for the company’s business application hardware and software.

Education and Skills

  • Diploma/Degree Program in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years working experience in the Information Technology industry required.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment.
  • Hands on experience providing IT Help Desk support for Anti-Virus and Security software, deploying windows desktop operating systems and MS Office suite of products.
  • An analytical, collaborative team member who demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical and logically minded with advanced troubleshooting, problem solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Some understanding of TCP/IP and Networking protocols (DNCP, DNS, WINS, HTTP)

Responsibilities:
  • Provide end-user help and training related to business software, hardware, network, and printer services.
  • Communicate in person and electronically with business software users experiencing difficulties to determine, resolve, and document basic problems experienced.
  • Record/log end-user software problems and requests in the helpdesk software.
  • Develop and maintain of I.T. documentation of infrastructure (hardware, network, software, services) and training materials (procedures and end-user help guides).
  • Assist in the set-up and installation of computer business software and applications.
  • Assist in the upgrade of desktop systems software and hardware.
  • Deploy, support, maintain PC hardware, software, and network hardware to ensure compatibility with set standards.
  • Maintain and support network file and print services.
