It Support Assistant (Summer Student)

Description

We are currently seeking a Summer Student to join our Information Technology (IT) team as the IT Support Assistant. Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, this position will be responsible for the following:
- Desktop support and assisting with a variety of IT-related projects
- Creating and maintaining documentation, including incident reporting
- Disposing of equipment, including desktops, laptops and servers
What We Want from You
- You are a current post-secondary student returning to school in the fall in one of the following programs:
Computer Systems Technology
IT Support Specialist
IT Network Administrator
Bachelor of Computer Science
- Availability to work from early May to late August
- Strong understanding of installation and troubleshooting MS Windows / MS Office as well as a basic understanding of Mac platform
- Good understanding of IP-based network configuration and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical people
- Demonstrated a high level of initiative and accountability
