Job description

We are looking for a Salesforce Analyst specializing in Compliance, Privacy, ITGC (Information Technology General Controls), and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), who will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization's Salesforce environment adheres to relevant regulations, maintains data privacy, meets ITGC standards, and complies with SOX requirements. This role involves a combination of Salesforce administration, compliance expertise, and knowledge of SOX regulations to create a secure and compliant Salesforce ecosystem. This Salesforce Analyst role requires a unique combination of Salesforce expertise, in-depth knowledge of compliance, privacy, ITGC, and a strong understanding of SOX regulations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Salesforce remains a secure, compliant, and SOX-compliant platform for the organization's data and operations.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Salesforce Administration:

  • Manage and maintain the Salesforce platform, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce to meet the specific needs of the organization.

Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant data protection and compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, SOX, etc.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret and implement regulatory requirements within Salesforce.

Data Privacy:

  • Develop and enforce data privacy policies within the Salesforce platform.
  • Implement data encryption, access controls, and data retention policies to protect sensitive information.

ITGC (Information Technology General Controls):

  • Conduct ITGC assessments to ensure that Salesforce complies with industry standards and internal control objectives.
  • Identify, document, and mitigate risks related to ITGC and suggest improvements.

SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act):

  • Ensure that Salesforce processes and controls comply with SOX requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address SOX-related findings and recommendations.

Security and Access Control:

  • Manage user access, permissions, and profiles in Salesforce to ensure only authorized personnel have the necessary privileges.
  • Implement security best practices, including two-factor authentication, IP whitelisting, and monitoring.

Reporting and Auditing:

  • Generate compliance reports, audit trails, and monitoring logs.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to Salesforce compliance, data protection, and SOX compliance.

Training and Education:

  • Provide training and guidance to Salesforce users on compliance, privacy, security, and SOX best practices.
  • Raise awareness about data protection, compliance, and SOX requirements.

Incident Response:

  • Develop and implement an incident response plan for data breaches, compliance violations, and SOX-related issues.
  • Lead investigations and coordinate remediation efforts when incidents occur.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations, security settings, and compliance-related activities.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Compliance, or Data Privacy.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Shield.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, data privacy laws, ITGC standards, and SOX requirements.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce administration and customization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with incident response and security best practices is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside of Quebec or unilingual English-speaking on a daily basis.
