Janitor – General Labour

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Janitor - General Labourer is a key player at Apex Precision. This role includes janitorial duties and production support, such as cleaning, receive and ship material and parts, cut material, deburr parts, prepare tools, and other duties as deemed necessary.

Janitorial duties:

• Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning the offices and machine shop, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, garbage, and recycling.
• Maintaining exterior of the property such as shoveling, dispersing abrasives, cleaning picnic tables, washing windows, and mowing the lawn
• Help with tasks related to maintenance of the building.
• Help with tasks related to the maintenance of production equipment.

Production support and other duties:

• Help production in various critical tasks.
• Deburr machined parts per drawing as deemed required.
• Clean machined parts as deemed necessary.
• Package and label parts for shipping.
• Deliver material / parts to supplier/customer, if deemed necessary.
• Perform physical inventory count of raw material and finished goods, as part of cycle count and year-end count.
• Other tasks according to production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a janitorial role, in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong and motivated work ethic.
• Class 5 drivers permit and independent mode of transportation.
• Completed WHMIS is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
