Janitor, Maintainer

Located in Lutselk’e you will be reporting to the Nurse in Charge (NIC). In the Janitor/Maintainer role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the Lutselk’e Health Centre and Wellness Center, adhering to infection prevention and control standards. Additionally, transportation and courier services, as well as maintaining supplies, equipment, and organization vehicles for the Lutselk’e Health Center and Wellness Center will be provided along with Building and Ground Maintenance.

This job requires knowledge of operating equipment at the Health and Wellness Centre, infection prevention and control procedures, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate should be able to work in a team environment, communicate effectively with colleagues and clients of different ages and cultures, and work independently with minimal supervision. They must possess communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to recognize priorities and apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
A combination of training, work experience and related experience in building maintenance and orientation.
