We are currently recruiting for a position of Janitor for the RCMP Digby, NS.

Daytime 2.5 hours a day Monday to Friday.

General Description: A janitor is generally responsible for the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.

Must have been in the country for 10 years.

Must be able to clear a RCMP and Federal Criminal background check.

Responsibilities:

• Clean floors (mopping, sweeping)
• Daily cleaning of washrooms, offices, lockers rooms and lunchrooms
• Empties and cleans garbage cans
• Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches, and doors
• Restocks single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Dusts and damp wipes office equipment
• Additional duties may be required from time to time.

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
• janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
