Jira Administrator

Thinking Big is seeking a Jira and Confluence Administrator to migrate client’s on-premise Atlasian Jira and Confluence projects to Atlassian Cloud.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide insight and guidance to information technology services on the governance, setup and management of Jira and Confluence;
• Assessment of current state including existing data, Jira projects and Confluence spaces;
• Setup and Configuration of existing Atlassian Cloud tools;
• Migrate 23 active Jira projects to a single Jira Cloud instance the cloud;
• Maintain and document strict user access and security controls in Jira and Confluence;
• Decommission 14 Jira projects that are no longer active but due to RIM requirements, data cannot be deleted;
• Migrate approximately 54 Confluence Project/Team spaces from on-premise to the cloud;
• Provide training and playbooks for the creation and maintenance of each Jira project and Confluence space; and
• Provide insight into trends and best practices that should be considered while migration Jira projects and Confluence Spaces; and
• Provide insight and guidance on the decommissioning of inactive Jira projects that need to be archived and what the desired end state will be.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience directly related to creating, managing and supporting Atlassian Jira and Confluence products;
• Demonstrated experience in Atlassian Cloud migrations, specifically Jira and Confluence;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment, establish priorities, and meet tight deadlines; and
• Experience working with government organizations is considered to bean asset.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: $23.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
