In recent years, our company has started new community newspapers in Woodstock-Ingersoll, Stratford, New Hamburg, and Goderich. Our mission is to restore quality local journalism to communities throughout Ontario. This is done by:
- hiring talented local writers who know their community and its people,
- providing our print (and online) newspaper to readers free-of-charge to maximize readership,
- providing sensible advertising rates to local businesses.
We would very much like to bring a locally-focused newspaper back to Simcoe, since the Reformer has suffered greatly under Postmedia's ownership.
We're seeking a community-minded local journalist who is willing to start on a part-time basis with us, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the newspaper gains traction.
