BC Passive House (BCPH) is a full-service prefabrication company specializing in the design and construction of high-performance panelized building systems, specialized structural panels (including CLT, DLT and NLT), heavy timber packages, and a range of hybrid systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work at BC Passive House prefabricating wall, roof, and floor panels and/or heavy timber packages. The activities include, but are not limited to:
- Processing cut-lists and preparation, panel construction, insulation application, and siding application,
- Preparation and loading of the panels and timber packages for shipment,
- Onsite installation of heavy timber and panel packages,
- General plant maintenance and clean-up.
Qualifications and Experience
BC Passive House believes high-performance buildings and a wood-first approach in construction are solutions for a carbon-neutral future. The successful candidate will have an interest in high-performance building methods and the following:
- A strong desire to learn and work as a team.
- Interest in the Passive House Standard.
- Journeyperson Ticket for construction.
- Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings and specifications.
- Ideal candidate would have experience with heavy timber preparation and installation and/or panelized wood construction.
- Competent working with standard construction tools including experience around cranes, forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
- Able to handle timeline pressures and work independently.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience with heavy timber preparation, installation, and panelized wood construction.
- Experience working with the metric system in construction.
- Experience with CadWork software.
