Teck is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Machinist - Temporary to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes.
This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Whether it’s biking and skiing, or the laid-back atmosphere of fishing and hiking, there is something for everyone.
Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail. British, Columbia.
Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Layout, fitting, assembly, installation, overhaul, repair and inspection work in shop or field
- Set up and operate all types of machine tools
Qualifications:
- Inter-Provincial Red Seal Endorsement (machinist)
- 5+ years’ experience in manual machining
- Strong ability to review and understand specifications and drawings
- Strong ability to determine an appropriate machining operation to complete the task assigned
- Boring mill operation and large diameter turning experience an asset
- Valid driver’s license
- Will be required to participate in an assessment process designed to measure fitness, aptitudes and personal attributes

Salary Range: $46.85 /Hour
