- Perform all aspects of carpentry work including measuring and cutting materials, constructing structures, and installing fixtures. Demolition and site prep is occasionally required.
- Work with a wide range of tools including power saws, hammers, drills, and hand tools.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of interior and exterior finishes such as drywall, trim, siding, and roofing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Receive training and guidance from an experienced carpenter.
- Other duties as assigned.
- With 1–2 years experience and reporting to Licensed Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to be registered as a 1st or 2nd year apprentice.
- Knowledge of carpentry practices and skill in using tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to try new things and assume additional responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying of materials.
- Able to climb ladders and comfortable working at heights and elevated platforms.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity is essential.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
