Junior Cost & Billings Accountant
The focus of this position is to be responsible for full cycle Accounts Receivables including: Client invoicing, Reconciliation and Account Maintenance. This role will assist and provide support for all Cost and Billings for the Gisborne Group.

Job Tasks
- Issuing Job numbers
- Setting up new projects in accounting software upon getting a Notice of Project from the project manager (including for Tenant Improvements and Small Jobs).
- Setting up a customer master file
- Setting up current charge out rates for Cost Plus Jobs
- Prepare bi-weekly cost plus billings (Labour, Materials, & Other charges)
- Prepare monthly billing information summary
- Prepare draft of progress claim faxing, emailing to the client
- Prepare LEM’s (Labour, Equipment, and Materials worksheets)
- Provide Statutory Declaration for second and subsequent progress payments, or release of holdback
- Processing Miscellaneous Quick bills, as needed
- Reconciling billings
- Assist Cost and Billing Accountant with processing vendor invoices for all on-going projects and update PO logs for expense and commitment tracking
- Adjustments, Bad Debts, write off processing
- Filing as needed
Skills
- Some Post Secondary accounting courses (Certificate/Diploma) or related experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong English Language skills – spoken and written
- Good command of General Accounting Practices
- Excellent Communication skills – spoken and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, communicative
