We are currently searching for a professional, detail oriented and safety focused individual for our junior health, safety and environment coordinator role in our Sudbury location. The primary objective of the junior health, safety and environment coordinator will be implementing, monitoring and enforcing the company health, safety and environment policies and programs, while ensuring safe working procedures on company work sites, facilities, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a culture of safety excellence throughout the region.
- Support and mentor employees to improve health and safety performance
- Perform inspections, observations, and investigations
- Review, classify and report on injuries, property damages, and environmental events
- Attend and participate in toolbox meetings when at site
- Assist supervisors with daily reporting documentation
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager with other health and safety related duties as required
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of general office administration and data entry
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Basic math and problem-solving capabilities
- Previous experience in the health, safety and environment field an asset
- NCSO Designation an asset
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an industrial or mining setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of the OHSA and industry safety standards
- Must be comfortable presenting in front of an audience
- Superior time management skills
