Job description

Summary:

The Junior Marketing Manager is responsible for helping to create and execute marketing plans that drive sales, increase customer loyalty and brand awareness. Key components of this position include creating strategic marketing campaigns, developing all campaign assets and collateral, managing digital channels and strategy, tracking results, planning events, and staying close to trends. Working closely with the Executive team and store managers, the Junior Marketing Manager will manage the day-to-day marketing activities and help execute the long-term marketing strategy for the company. The Junior Marketing Manager will act as an advisor to the brand and ultimately be responsible for all aspects of campaign development, coming up with creative initiatives, measurable goals, as well as ensuring our brand is strongly executed and delivered effectively to the customer. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

GENERAL

· Understand and comply with regulatory mandates in the cannabis industry

· Manage and coordinate the day-to-day execution of all marketing initiatives and activities

· Provide local market insights and competitive set analysis for new store launches

· Work within the overall marketing strategy, and assist in strategy development according to analytical findings

· Liaise with partner brands and licensed producers to align marketing efforts and identify partnership opportunities

· Working with the executive team, build and maintain a strong and effective loyalty program

· Produce marketing reports and provide actionable insights for every campaign or initiative

· Maintain organized promotional calendars, to do lists, and run sheets

· Leverage customer insights and analytics to increase customer retention targets in support of sales

· Work with other departments to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to ensure alignment in customer retention strategies and customer experience

· Conduct general market research to keep up-to-date on trends and competitor’s marketing movements

· Work with Graphic Designers to execute the design, look and feel of the brand and all campaigns to ensure a cohesive message.

CAMPAIGNS

· Develop on-brand, sales focused initiatives that resonate with customers and strategic company goals

· Write copy for all physical and digital assets, ensure messaging is clear and tone of voice is on brand

· Coordinate different promotional as required for each campaign, focusing on instore merchandising, digital channels and maintaining a budget

Skills and Qualifications

· Experience in Marketing, Business or related field and/or equivalent experience

· Excellent handle on marketing generalist skills

· Event planning & management experience an asset

· Passion and in depth knowledge of the retail cannabis industry an asset

· Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud an asset

· Ability to develop and manage budgets

· Extremely organized

· Excellent communication skills – verbal, written & presentation

· High achievement motivation – demonstrated results orientation

· Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills, and the ability to apply consistent attention to needs of the business

· Well-developed problem solving and decision-making capabilities

· Creative thinker, results-driven, team player

NOTE: This role is not graphic design heavy.

NOTE: Security clearance will be requested for this position. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal record check.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
