Job description

The Junior Programmer Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the Business Improvement Group and IT Department to maintain the ERP systems and customizations, as well as provide end-user support. In addition, the Junior Programmer Analyst will regularly assist in gathering and evaluating research to ensure systems and supporting infrastructure are kept functioning and up to date.
This position will be working under the hybrid model - ability to work from home with the commitment to attending monthly in-person meetings at our Kincardine office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance and development of ERP/CPM system program customizations and enhancements
  • Assist in the analysis, assessment, and documentation of end-user requirements for customizations and enhancements
  • Assist with training of end-users to operate new or modified programs
  • Collaborate with IT Department to assist end-users
  • Gather and evaluate research into ERP/CPM system lifecycle and major version updates
  • Gather and evaluate research on connected business software (e.g. Business Intelligence, Reporting, D365 Add-ons) in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Under supervision, liaise with vendors for efficient resolution of any adaptation issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow established procedures
  • Previous working knowledge of data base programming, software development fundamentals, and testing
  • Create appropriate tables, flow charts, and diagrams

Work Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field – Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming
  • Demonstrated work experience with software development and maintenance
  • End-user support
  • Programming
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Dynamics CRM an asset
