We are a challenging, fun and professional outfit that has been in operation since 1994. We offer a quality sea Kayak Tour & accommodations in a welcoming family/team like atmosphere. We offers a quality educational and safe kayaking experience on the shores of Cape Breton Island. Over the past 30 years we have evolved into a highly successful sea kayaking experience promoting a safe and educational experience accommodating all levels of kayakers.

Sae Kayak Tour Guide
Salary: $16-17/hr
You will be responsible for leading rewarding, safe, educational and fun trips for people of many backgrounds and levels of experience. Certification and training is only the beginning, as we expect guides to be strong leaders, knowledgeable in natural and cultural history, good teachers and communicators and handy with the typical equipment used on trip. Our operations and interpretation manual is provided to all guides prior to beginning work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Cash Flow and Tour bookins both online and phone.
- Primarily leading and/or assisting Kayak Tours and assisting on 1/2 & Full Day Guided Kayak Tours
- Delivering an exceptional wilderness experience to all of guests
- Delivering waiver explanation and safety standards review
- Kayak instruction and on-water safety of guests
- Providing natural and cultural interpretation (material provided)
- Organizing on-shore activities, meal preparation.
- Pre-trip gear and meal preparation
- Post-trip gear cleaning and maintenance
Non-Guiding Responsibilities:
- Preparation of gear and kayaks for Kayak Tours
- Participate in guide training and orientation in June
- Gear maintenance and repairs
- Wilderness cabin cleaning part time on a when needed basis
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 2.5 months
Salary: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
