Tails & Trails Country Pet Resort is a small business in Dunrobin, ON K0A 1T0. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun and inclusive environment for other like-minded individuals that love being around animals.

Tails & Trails Kennel Manager is a rewarding and fulfilling position if you love to see people and pets happy. We provide exceptional care to dogs and cats through our services of boarding, daycare and grooming. We consist of a small team of friendly and inclusive members, that have a similar goal of providing the best care possible to our guests.

We are hiring 2 Kennel Managers to share the duties below.

Position 1:

Sunday: 7:30am - 6:30pm

Monday: 7:30am - 6:30pm

Tuesday: 7:30am - 6:30pm

Wednesday: 7:30am - 6:30pm OR 7am-3:30pm (rotating every second Wednesday)

Position 2:

Wednesday: 7:30am - 6:30pm OR 7am-3:30pm (rotating every second Wednesday)

Thursday: 7:30am - 6:30pm

Friday: 7:30am - 6:30pm

Saturday: 7:30am - 6:30pm

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kennel facility

- Manage a team of kennel staff and provide guidance and training as needed

- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all animals in the kennel

- Coordinate and schedule appointments for boarding, daycare, grooming, and other necessary services

- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications, and medical treatments

- Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a clean and healthy environment

- Monitor inventory levels of supplies

- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, addressing any concerns or questions they may have

- Provide basic grooming when required (nail trims and baths)

- Post daily social media posts on various platforms

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a kennel or animal care facility preferred

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands associated with animal care

- Knowledge of animal behavior and basic medical care for animals

- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
