FLEET MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Kent Homes is accepting applications for a Fleet Maintenance Technician, based in Bouctouche, NB.

Reporting to and working with the Fleet Team, the Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing superior customer service while completing assigned work orders for Kent Homes and its clients. The ideal candidate will be safety-minded, efficient, and will demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced-ever changing environment. The candidate should be able to work independently, have a keen eye for detail and have solid knowledge in home repair.

In business since 1957, Kent Homes is one of the largest home builders and mobile shelter rental companies in Atlantic Canada. We have 150,000 square feet of space dedicated to building quality homes year-round. We serve remote, rural, and urban centers throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario.

Qualifications and Key Responsibilities:

• A graduate from a recognized Carpentry program with a Carpentry Certificate or equivalent experience
• Industry repair and maintenance experience with respect to, electrical, plumbing, framing, windows, doors, flooring, countertops, and siding
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team
• Perform all duties of the job with a high degree of safety consciousness
• Be customer service oriented with strong attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record (drivers abstract will be requested)
• Required travel within Atlantic provinces including overnight stays
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
• Physically able to perform all aspects of the job
• Maintain professional image of company vehicle

Working Conditions:

The successful applicant will be working inside a climate-controlled building but will also be required to work outdoors in the heat, cold, rain and snow.

Physical Demands:

The successful applicant will be required to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The job entails walking, sitting, standing, reaching and climbing using a ladder, bending and twisting.
