SalaryWe are currently looking for a Full Time Kitchen Production Assistant at our Westwood location. This position is Monday - Friday (40hrs/week) from 8am-4pm.
Kitchen Production Assistant is responsible for the preparation of our Vita Market deli items. Which includes but not limited to ingredient preparation, assembly, and packing. They also need to keep a clean and organized workspace up to the health and safety standards.
Job Duties
- Clean, peel and chop ingredients for production
- Cooking ingredients for production
- Storing food in compliance with safety standards
- Assembly of deli items
- Packing of deli items according to invoice to be shipped out
- Maintain a sanitary and food safe work environment including washing and sanitizing of sinks and dishes.
- Assist customers when needed
- Maintain a clean kitchen including sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning duties as assigned by Production Manager
- Any other duties as assigned by Operations and Kitchen Managers
Requirements
- Energetic, self-motivated, strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Punctual and reliable
- Able to use various kitchen equipment (oven, burners, food processor, etc)
- Read and follow recipes and rotate and label stock
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
- Able to work Stat Holidays
