We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team for our remote restaurant in Desolation Sound. As a Cook, you will be responsible for meal preparation and assisting in the kitchen of our restaurant. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to perfection, following food safety guidelines and maintaining high standards of quality.
```Responsibilities```
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes or customer orders
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked in a timely manner
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff and front of house staff to ensure smooth operations
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Previous experience as a Cook or similar role in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues

This is an extremely busy, high volume position. Tip pool is split evenly amongst the FOH and BOH team based on hours worked. Tip share is a significant amount to take home above hourly wage. Staff Housing available at no cost for successful candidates. Free moorage is available for successful candidates with live aboard boats.
