Kelowna Kids Co is expanding to Lake Country! Introducing KKC Lakewood

This is a wonderful opportunity for qualified BC Early Childhood Educator who is confident, self-motivated, and comfortable working in an independent setting with little staffing support on site. KKC Lakewood will be opening Fall 2024 and will offer a quality play-based early learning philosophy that it is deeply rooted in the BC Early Learning Framework. This small residential style centre will be licensed for 8 children and offers a bright space and a beautiful large yard to explore in.

We are looking for an incredibly special educator that is passionate about what they do, confident in being independent, and is looking for an exceptional working environment where their opinions and values are embraced. We use a variety of pedagogies to create our unique play-based early learning MMESS Program, and we love to support educators in bringing in their own ideas and passions into the classrooms as well.

Please note: KKC Lakewood is a multi age program, so the successful applicant must be comfortable in that setting and understands the unique challenges and amazing rewards multi age settings can bring!

*Hours will start at 730am and could be flexible between 32.50-40 hours per week depending on ECE’s preference. Our early learning program runs from 730-2pm and an afterschool care (school age) program operates 230-5pm. If 40 hours is wanted, successful applicant must be comfortable working with both age groups.

Necessary Qualifications

*2+ years of lead experience or equivalent strongly preferred

*Must have a Valid BC ECE Certification

*Criminal Record Check

*First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

*Be familiar with Interior Health Licensing Regulations
