Duties:
- Perform receiving, sorting, and data entry for biological specimens in the laboratory information system and prepare/process samples for forensic toxicology analysis
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Record and analyze data accurately.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
- Assist with quality control procedures
- Maintain chain of custody for forensic specimens
- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures
Experience and Qualification:
· At least an associate diploma/degree in health/science/chemistry or any allied health discipline. A four-year degree will be preferred.
· Previous experience working in a laboratory setting preferred. Experience with specimen data entry will be an asset.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
· Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
