About the role:
eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking a Lab Services Administrator to join our Provincial Programs portfolio. Reporting to the Manager, Programs (Laboratory Services), this role helps manage the electronic lab distribution process, which includes:

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) provider validation;
  • Managing a distribution schedule, adding lab codes to the appropriate application (EMC), communicating with the EMR vendors, activating codes, and communicating with our health system partners;
  • Triaging support tickets and monitoring the group email inbox and assigning as required;
  • Participating in the creation or updating of work standards;
  • Testing activities related to the system(s) used to support daily work;
  • Generating reports/statistics on labs being electronically delivered to downstream systems; and
  • Responsibility for uploads, discrepancies, mapping and verification of providers for interfacing projects.

This role requires strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and exceptional time management, prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.

Typical Daily Duties:
  • Schedule EMR Implementations;
  • Plan implementation and communicate milestones with the Vendors, SHA and eHealth Teams;
  • Monitor team email box and respond;
  • Verify that Lab results are flowing as expected to the EMRs by contacting the EMR Admin throughout the province.
To qualify for this position, you will have knowledge and/or experience in the following:
  • MS Office products

Our ideal candidate would have gained the knowledge and skills required for this position through the completion of post-secondary education such as a CHIM credential or Associate or Bachelor degree in business administration or related clinical field. Previous health system, clinical care knowledge would be beneficial. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
