The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- General clerical work including: answering the phone, reception/interacting with clients, shipping and receiving, filing, tracking supply levels, emailing and calling clients, etc.
- Creating and maintaining detailed paperwork for projects, chemical inventories and various supplies around the lab
- General lab support including labeling slides and cassettes, project tracking, waste discard, maintenance, organization of supplies, etc.
- Assisting histotechnologists in completing projects
Additional lab duties may be added depending on the experience of the successful applicant. Emphasis will be placed on the maintenance of neat, accurate and precise documentation of all work.
Requirements
The successful applicant should possess:
- A post-secondary degree in a life science related field (preference will be given to new graduates)
- Experience in an administrative role
- Laboratory experience will be an asset
- Effective oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills are required
- Experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
The candidate must be self-motivated and able to adapt in a dynamic and fast-growing company. The applicant should be comfortable taking initiative and working independently as well as working collaboratively in a team setting.

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
