Labourer (Asphalt Division)
Reporting to: Foreperson
Location: Ottawa and surrounding area

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of asphalt surfaces, including paving roads, parking lots, and driveways.
- Measure and mark areas for asphalt installation, following blueprints and specifications.
- Repair and patch damaged asphalt surfaces by cutting out damaged areas and replacing with fresh asphalt.
- Assist in the mixing and application of asphalt materials, including aggregates, binders, and additives.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate and execute tasks efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years related experience particularly on paving construction materials, equipment, and processes or in the construction industry is an asset
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices
- Physically fit; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong worth ethic
- Own vehicle and reliable transportation
- Working hours may require some weekend and evening shifts

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 65 per week
