Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift operation
- Solid drum processing
- Shredder operation
- Process containerized waste (drums, pails and totes) by emptying, bulking over, scraping and cutting containers
- Liquid drum pumping
- Equipment inspection and record keeping
- Vacuum truck operation
- Bulk solids processing including loader operation (loading end dumps)
- Shunting capabilities
- Small container sampling
- Operational aspects of receipt and shipment
- All aspects of organic and inorganic tank farm operator including loading/unloading, transfers, blending, and truck movements.
- Perform general housekeeping on a daily basis, including segregation and proper storage of containers
- Attend safety meetings and tool talks
- Report safety incidents, potential hazards and malfunctioning equipment immediately to your Supervisor
- Training to be provided on all processes
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment in various weather conditions
- Must be able to perform labour intensive duties (i.e. heavy lifting is required)
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift experience/certifications is an asset
