Job description

We are currently seeking a Landowner Liaison to join our team for a rewarding career with our company. Through the ongoing training to our proactive wage scale, we’re continually growing our group of highly trained and qualified staff. The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge, training, and experience in the utility vegetation management field with the ability to manage several different priorities simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education from a Forestry/ GIS based program would be an asset.
  • Preferred experience in dealing with Landowners and Property Managers from varying backgrounds.
  • Preferred experience in the utility vegetation management field related to transmission line clearing and widening with an understanding of crew and equipment utilization.
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills with various individuals is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and proficient using all aspects of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using ESRI mapping products such as Field Maps and GPS units would be an asset.
  • Valid Standard First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, Fall Arrest, and Electrical Awareness training.
  • Chainsaw Safety, Bucking, and Felling near Powerlines or equivalent training would be an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence as a minimum.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude and a dedication to safety.

Location

Various throughout Central/ Western Nova Scotia, travel for extended periods of time will be essential.

Salary: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
