Role Summary
Reporting to the Landscape Foreman, the Labourer will assist in all landscape maintenance and construction. Based out of our landscape job sites in Charlottetown and surrounding area, this role will support the team.

What You’ll Do

• Execute landscape installation and maintenance.
• Maintain flower beds, spread topsoil, lay sod, grass, shrubs, and trees, and perform other duties to assist with the construction of landscape and related structures.
• Weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by Foreman.
• Operate and maintain equipment as trained and required.
• Support a clean and safe job site.
• Adhere and support all safety requirements and quality standards set forth in the PEI Occupational Health and Safety General Regulations, PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act and Island Coastal’s Safety Management System.
• Use your experience to identify health and safety deficiencies and support Management in implementing solutions OR report to Management when required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 1+ years experience in horticulture, landscaping, property maintenance or related field considered an asset.
• Post secondary education in horticulture or a related field considered an asset.
• Desire to grow skills and knowledge in the landscape industry.
• Ability to handle a physically demanding role in various locations and climate extremes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.
• Valid drivers license considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary: $18.50-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• DCS / DEC (preferred)
