Landscape Yard Skilled Labourer

One of Durham Region's largest landscape suppliers is looking for a reliable and energetic person to maintain yard, assist with customers, and offer general labour.

POSITION INVOLVES:

• Clean and maintain yard areas
• Material handling; Load and unload trucks and cars
• Manage yard traffic

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of high school
• Excellent problem solving skills

• Must have knowledge of basic tools and job-related equipment
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, and ability to work flexible hours
• Valid forklift operator’s ticket – will train
• WHMIS & Lockout Training – will train

OTHER INFORMATION:TRAVEL/OTHER INFORMATION:- Own reliable transportation required * not bus stop accessible*

• Must love our customers and work well with our terrific team
• Physically demanding - must be able to regularly lift 60 lbs
• Industrial environment - involves repetitive tasks
• Must be goal oriented self- starting and energetic
• Outdoor work; hot and cold conditions
• Forklift experience is considered an asset
• Follows company Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Meets attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Attends training & development courses as required

- The position is seasonal until approximately December
