Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both landscape maintenance and project-based work, with a passion for creating and enhancing outdoor environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from routine maintenance tasks to larger-scale landscaping installations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and weeding.
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality and water efficiency.
- Plant and transplant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants, following landscape plans and design specifications.
- Install and maintain hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative stone elements.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with landscape construction projects, including site preparation, grading, drainage installation, and planting.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to client specifications.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to expand skills and knowledge in the landscaping field.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in both landscape maintenance and project-based landscaping work.
- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, and shrubs, including proper care and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Ability to interpret landscape plans and design drawings, and execute projects accordingly.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., pesticide applicator license, landscape industry certifications) are a plus.
