Hours of work and schedule: Saturday, 9:00 am 4:30 pm - Guaranteed 7 hours on Saturday (Can be placed on casual list)
Duties and Accountabilities
Administer standard assessments of language skills using the appropriate test tools incompliance with the approved placement guidelines and the Organizations prescribed policies and protocols
Conduct appropriate screenings for literacy clients, using approved screening tools and protocols
Prepare interview rooms, including ensuring that sufficient test materials and other required equipment are available for the testing process
Ensure exceptional client service delivery and create a welcoming testing atmosphere for clients
Communicate with the LARC team any information on client needs pertinent to client success and continuous improvement
When working on a 7-hour work schedule, be responsible for conducting 6 new assessments per day. While being flexible to accommodate the unique needs of the clients. Notably, however, the quantity of assessments required to be conducted on any given day will vary depending on the approved work hours/day
In collaboration with other assessors, cross-check and agree on assigned language benchmarks for all skills levels
Provide client feedback and answer questions relating to their English Language proficiency
Using multiple strategies, administer paper and computer-based, on-site/in person at LARCapproved facility, off-site/itinerant services in Moose Jaw and remote assessments when required
Prepare client Assessment Reports, collect all completed test materials and ensure proper and secure storage according to LARC and CCLB Policies
Ensure the privacy, confidentiality and security of client information, test materials, other testing information and all other information pertaining to the Organizations capacity to serve clients
Ensure testing materials and relevant forms are in adequate supply for testing days
