Develop laser weld processes and qualify them using statistically valid data sets and workflow
Manage installation, qualification and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment including but not limited to Laser Welding systems
Collaborate with Equipment Design, Automation Controls, Production Engineering, Product Design, Quality, Operations and EH&S for maximum yield, quality, machine availability and output
Optimize product flow and line efficiency while reducing Capex and lead-time
Generate machine specifications, documentation, and manufacturing instructions

Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, 6+ years relevant experience, or equivalent
Experience working with different laser welding tools, materials, and vision systems
Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing
Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software
Proven track record of data driven workflow to solve complex problems
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Evidence of exceptional ability
