The incumbent will be working with Core Deposit Technology in a cross functional development team responsible for the bank's success in supporting the retail deposit business partners and their deliverables. This resource will be working with a retail banking ecosystem that supports the bank's day to day retail products. The incumbent is responsible to bridge business and technology to design reliable technical solutions and processes for diverse user groups. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in delivering end-to-end system and business journeys. The incumbent should have good knowledge of agile and familiar with Software Development Life Cycle, in addition, it is important to have analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Experience in core banking and operations support will be an asset.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Capture business/compliance requirements, identify pain-points/gaps, design solution proposal, conduct analysis, validate assumption.
- Support and validate product/solution implemented correctly by development team.
- Must be able to work within tight deadlines and schedules which may result in extended working hours during peak time to meet project deliverables.
- Mentor and coach less experienced team members.
- Support various portfolio initiatives where possible.
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
- Experience and willingness to execute various test cycles
- Ability to come to the at least office twice a week (currently downtown Toronto)
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Document business processes and system requirements
- Collaborate with business and operations stakeholders to align on requirements
- Ability to conduct gap analysis and understanding of the end to end business journey
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations to stakeholders on findings
- Proficiency in using Jira / Confluence/ MS Office
- Understanding and working experience in retail banking
- Core banking knowledge or financial domain is an asset
- Experience in Banking/Financial industry is a nice-to-have
- University/college degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
