Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Daily operation of cash registers
• General customer service (purchases, returns, loading vehicles, directing customers to products)
• Training new cashiers and providing feedback on expectations of the position
• Delegation of daily tasks and following up on completion
• Following policy and established procedures for cashing out
• Following established procedures for cleanliness of the store front and employee only areas
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards
• Tracking stock levels of hard goods and store supplies and advising Manager on ordering stock as required

Key requirements for the position are:

• Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Minimum 2 years cashier experience required
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience required
• Flexible availability to work 5 days per week (morning, afternoon, stat holidays, weekends) every day of the week. Some evenings to 8 pm in May might be required. Part time hours not available.
• Excellent computer and math skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Physically fit in order to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis and stand, walk and bend for up to 8 hours daily
• Steel toe boots/shoes are required
