As Lead Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for Corporate, a business, or a P&L within a business. Expertise within a field comprising of different approaches, methodologies, techniques and processes.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Serving as a business partner to the US/Canada business teams to drive business initiatives, growth, profitability and accountability.
- Strategic Support - Providing financial analytics to drive commercial decision around deal pricing, resource utilization and product sourcing.
- Acting as custodian of the customer profitability model to drive improved financial performance.
- Tracking cost improvement actions and drive accountability.
- Driving analysis on the monthly financials and provide commentary on key variances.
- Keeping a pulse on the business performance through QMI's and drive key actions to ensure attainment of financial commitments.
- Managing closing and planning cycles (Monthly and Quarterly closing, QMI/Flash submissions and reporting, Short range and Long-range planning for the areas)
- Receivables `quality and Bad Debt Reserve - Taking ownership on weekly collection calls to evaluate receivables position and discuss corrective action plans with operational owners.
- Working with operations to prepare AFE's for capital appropriation requests.
- Participating and contributing in leadership discussions around market opportunities.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- Have 8+ years of relevant work experience
- Have a demonstrated experience and understanding of accounting principles and controllership
- Have the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
- Have excellent communication skills and able to deliver messages effectively verbally and in writing
- Be proficient in SAP and HFM.

- Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
- Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
