The Pederson Group (TPG) is an innovative talent & recruitment agency based in Winnipeg. We represent talent across Canada and are looking to add a Cinematographer/Videographer to our team that excels at creating content!
This is a highly creative job. The Lead Videographer's mission is to support TPG’s digital marketing by filming recruitment videos, including client interviews, construction job-site tours, events and creating short form video clips for LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media channels. You will work in a very creative capacity and have a passion for storytelling.

The Responsibilities:
- Produce video content from concept to completion using industry best practices in storyboarding, cinematography, audio recording and lighting.
- Produce a handful of content that is for promotional use that can be used on various social media channels
- Work with the President, Marketing Manager as well as TPG’s clients throughout the entire process
- Support with scriptwriting and storyboarding process
- Research locations and possible shots, to be in alignment with intention and message
- Bring new ideas and concepts to brainstorm sessions, involving sequences and progression of story on a regular basis
- Photography experience is an asset
- Framing and shot composition
- Lighting and sound
- Storing and maintaining equipment between shoots
- Ability to add effects like music, captions, graphics, alt text
- Collaborating with team members and clients to create the video
- Knowing what footage to keep and discard
- Telling a cohesive story through film clips
- Setting up and taking down equipment
- Maintaining, repairing, calibrating and troubleshooting equipment and gear
- Being able to move around to achieve the perfect shot
- Thorough understanding of lighting techniques, light color, shade and manipulation
- Strong technical knowledge of cameras and the film production process
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent listening ability
- Choosing a visual style for the film

- Creating the look, color, lighting, and framing of every shot
Qualifications:
- The ability and aptitude for storytelling, storytelling through the lens.
- Experienced, at least 1+ years of experience as a video creator and/or editor
- Experience working with video cameras, audio equipment and grip/lighting gear
- Strong understanding of video editing, color correction and audio mixing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Agile to change
- Self-directed problem solver; proactive and resourceful
- Thorough knowledge on focus, exposure and angles
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (or other video editing software)
- Experience producing content
- Knowing which equipment to use for various kinds of filming
- Proficiency with various editing software
- Editing raw footage
- Gathering b-roll footage that will fill in any gaps or details in the story
- valid driver’s license and transportation to travel with equipment
