Who you are:
Highly organized with a special attention to detail and naturally collaborative, you have a knack for making things simple for the people you support! You have great people skills and excel at anticipating what your team needs before they even ask. Actively looking for ways to improve processes, you are comfortable working with multiple software systems, and welcome the opportunity to learn and share new ways of doing things. You are adept at determining priorities, so a fast-paced environment is for you! With a primarily remote work environment, you are not shy reaching out to build rapport virtually with your team and those outside your division, setting the foundation for collaborative engagement and teamwork.
What you'll do:
The Licensing and Certification Administrator is responsible for reviewing administrative information and processing low-risk licence and certificate applications. Licence applications could be for nuclear substances and radiation devices, Class II nuclear facilities, dosimetry services or for transporting radioactive material. Certificate applications could be for transport packages or radiation Devices or Class II prescribed equipment. In addition to verifying and processing new licences or certificates, there is also a requirement to verify administrative information from applicants for renewals, revisions and revocations and registration for use of transport packages.
Some of the tasks you would be performing but are not limited to are:
  • Assess and verify applications for licences
  • Prepare draft licences and certificates
  • Update data in a database
  • Proofread and format correspondence
  • Answer inquiries
  • Input and review information for accuracy
  • Research solutions for your team

Essential Qualifications:

Education:
Minimum High School Diploma
Language Requirements:
Bilingual imperative with a proficiency at BBB level. If you are unsure of your proficiency level, we encourage you to take a self-assessment here.
Experience:
  • Multitasking and using multiple software systems simultaneously to achieve required task
  • Time management and prioritizing work as per service standards provided
  • Providing administrative support services to a multi-disciplinary team and/or program
  • Inputting data into a database with attention to detail
  • Working with minimal supervision

Knowledge of:
  • Policies and processes pertaining to document and data management
  • Reviewing, editing and revising documents

Ability to:
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Proficiently use production software and learning new tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, PDF tools, etc.)
