Linen Attendant

Harrison Hot Springs Resort is currently recruiting for the position of Linen Attendant.

Overlooking Harrison Lake, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort offers the following amenities: five mineral hot springs pools, the Healing Springs Spa, three restaurants and a coffee bar, extensive banquet and catering options, Resort Golf Course and Resort Marina.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Distribution and pick up of all linen needs for the resort. Pick up and drop off items for the Public Pool.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Report to work in uniform, on time, and ready to begin shift as scheduled.

2. Attend all required department meetings.

3. Remove dirty linen from assigned floors and sort in the Laundry Department. Assist in switching out the full tubs of dirty for empty tubs.

4. Bring all necessary, and needed, linens to the appropriate assigned areas.

5. Some stress resulting from daily guest interactions (internal and external), Also time management is critical.

6. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

7. Work as a Team!

#1 Truck Attendant:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Remove dirty linen from assigned floors and sort in Laundry.

· Assigned floors are 3/4/5 East Tower, ½ West Tower, 1/2 West Wing,

· 2nd Club (subject to change based on levels of occupancy and business needs). Sort the dirty in Laundry. Assist in switching out the full tubs of dirty linen.

· Restock Room Attendant's closets with clean linen.

· Pick up dirty Houseman rags from Housekeeping. Deliver to Laundry Department.

· Deliver supplies as needed to the Room Attendant's closets/assigned floors.

· Daily visit to the Public Pool to confirm any requirements. Deliver linens and supplies as needed.

· Pick up all dirty linens and garbage from the Public Pool and return to resort and sort accordingly.

· Return all empty hangers from Housekeeping to the Laundry Department.

· Deliver supplies as needed including cases of toilet paper and tissue to the Room Attendant’s closets on assigned floors.

· Assist in making sure we are switching the full laundry bins when they are full in laundry as it is notalways up to the laundry team to change them.

· All Linen Attendants are responsible for unloading their dirty linen tubs in laundry from the day before or same day and assisting our fellow Linen Attendants if they need help. It is not up to the Laundry Attendants.

#2 Linen Attendant:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Remove dirty linen from assigned floors and sort in Laundry Department. Assist in switching out the full tubs of dirty for empty tubs.

· Assigned floors are 3/4 Heritage Building 4/5/6 West Tower, 6/7/8 East Tower (subject to change based on levels of occupancy and business needs).

· Deliver supplies as needed including cases of toilet paper and Kleenex to Room Attendant's closets.

· All Linen Attendants are responsible for unloading their dirty linen tubs in laundry from the day before or same day and assisting our fellow Linen Attendants if they need help. It is not up to the Laundry Attendants.

#3 Linen Attendant:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Remove dirty linen from assigned floors and sort in Laundry. Assist in switching out the full tubs of dirty for empty tubs.

· Assigned floors are 3/4/5/6/7/8 East Tower (subject to change based on levels of occupancy and business needs).

· Restock Room Attendant's closets with clean linen.

· Deliver supplies as needed including cases of toilet paper and Kleenex to Room Attendant’s closets.

· All Linen Attendants are responsible for unloading their dirty linen tubs in laundry from the day before or same day and assisting our fellow Linen Attendants if they need help. It is not up to the laundry attendants.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

· Class 5 driver’s license.

· Physically able to safely lift, carry, pull, and push a large load of items in a rolling cart.

· Able to ask for assistance as required in a timely fashion.

· WHMIS is an asset.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Trusted to work independently and as part of a team.

· Customer service experience.

· Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

· Exceptional communication skills.

· Knowledge of resort and stock closets an asset.

· Being multilingual is an asset but not necessarily.

· Flexible to a changing schedule.
