Job Summary:The Frozen Food Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of frozen food products. This includes setting up and monitoring equipment, ensuring product quality and safety standards, and participating in routine cleaning and maintenance tasks. The operator will work closely with the production team to meet production targets while adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:Operate and monitor machinery used in the production of frozen food products, such as freezing equipment, packaging machines, and conveyor systems.
Ensure that all machines are set up and calibrated correctly according to product specifications.
Quality Assurance:Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards for size, weight, appearance, and other relevant parameters.
Monitor and report any deviations from quality standards to the Production Supervisor.
Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Comply with all regulatory and company policies related to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
Cleaning and Maintenance:Participate in routine cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean and hygienic production area.
Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure they operate efficiently.
Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch numbers, production times, and any quality control checks performed.
Team Collaboration:Collaborate with other members of the production team to achieve production targets and ensure smooth operations.
Problem Solving:Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues as they arise, escalating more complex problems to the Production Supervisor.
Continuous Improvement:Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing suggestions for enhancing efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in food production or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, especially in frozen food production, is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting production machinery.
- Basic understanding of food safety and quality control standards.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to [X] pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- The role may require exposure to cold environments and may involve occasional exposure to noisy or wet conditions.
