We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Lot Attendant. This is a seasonal position from April to August. The successful applicant must hold a valid CSA approved Forklift Certification.
Who You Are
You are meticulous! You have an eye for detail, and you take pride in the before-and-after experience of cleaning and seeing a job well done. As our Lot Attendant, you will be responsible for the pristine condition of every RV that leaves our sales and service lot. Nothing will get past your quality control inspection!
If you have cleaning or detailing experience, that's great, but more importantly, you enjoy working on your own and have a strong desire to do the job right without cutting corners.
Key Job Functions
Interior Cleaning:
- Vacuum and steam clean carpets, upholstery
- Clean all interior surfaces, countertops, cabinetry
- Clean windows, mirrors and glass surfaces to ensure clarity and visibility
- Sanitize bathrooms and kitchens
- Re-stock supplies
Exterior Cleaning:
- Wash, wax and polish the exterior surfaces and windows of RVs and vehicles
- Clean awnings
- Touch up paint; remove stickers
- Apply Pro Pac products such as paint protection, undercoat, mouse shield, leather and fabric protection, etc.
Maintenance Assistance:
- Perform minor maintenance such as changing lights, replacing batteries or repairing minor damage
- Empty sewage tanks
- Fill gas tanks upon request
- Ensure cleaning supplies are available
Lot Maintenance:
- Deliver and pick up units and parts as required by service or sales manager
- Park and move Trailer/RV units on the dealership lot
- Help keep our lot free of debris and snow
Customer Service:
- Interact with lot visitors, customers, and staff in a positive manner supportive of the dealership and our products
- Promptly address any cleaning-related concerns from customers
Compliance and Safety:
- Maintain the proper function and respectful use of company equipment and tools
- Wear proper personal protection equipment (PPE)
- Know and follow procedures for safe use and disposal of all cleaning products
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
Licence and Certification
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Valid CSA approved Forklift Certification (within 3 years)
Essential Qualifications
- Attention to detail is a must!
- Housekeeping or car detailing experience is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Able to think like a customer and a desire to meet their expectations
Health and Safety Considerations
- Strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, policies and protocols
- Able to lift parts and accessories up to 25 lbs.
- Able to bend, lift, carry and stretch
- Able to work outside
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Salary: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
