Position Purpose : Do you consider yourself a handy person? One that has experience in building supplies, electrical, plumbing, and building product? As a Lumber Sales associate you will be required to assist customers and contractors with all Building Supply needs, including lumber estimates, delivery dates and charge accounts, take inventory, face products, and maintain housekeeping in between assisting customers. You are also required to answer telephones and help other team members with the daily duties of running the store. As a Sales Associate you will be required in helping our customers with their purchases and also in recommending the products needed to finish their projects. Some lifting and ladder work is required in these areas. This position will also include Plumbing and Electrical experience.

Requirements/Qualifications :Knowledge in plumbing, electrical and building supplies. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to understand computer software programs, store procedures and policies 1-2 years of prior retail or industry related experience is beneficial. Willingness to learn and expand with company developments. Ability to work cooperatively in team atmosphere. Maintain a positive attitude, while executing excellent customer service and communication skills. Duties/Responsibilities: Actively seek out and offer a friendly greeting throughout the entire store. Ask open ended questions to be able to determine their needs and find a solution that the customer finds satisfaction with.*Be enthusiastic with the customer and show compassion when appropriate to do so.*Thank the customer, not the other way around.*Provide specialized knowledge in our rental material and associated products to go with them.*Provide additional services to customers such as helping them load their material into their vehicles.*Complete additional duties as assigned by management.*Willing to participate in seminars, webinars, training sessions and meetings as required to expand your knowledge.*Complete all Health and Safety Training required by government and company regulations.*Work in a safe manner in accordance to all safety legislation*Report any potential hazards and unsafe working environment to management in order to have it corrected If helping people comes to you as naturally as smiling, then this may be the position for you.
