Machine Operator - Nights

Previous Machine Operator experience is not required. We are looking for eager, energetic people that thrive in a fast faced work environment to join our team!

Hiring for:

• 3 Machine Operators on afternoon shift Monday through Friday 10:00pm-6:30am - additional hourly premium offered. Fast paced machine.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Machine Operator under minimal supervision is responsible for the set up and daily operation of production machinery and to ensure the line is continuing at the desired optimal level.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Set up the machine including ensuring any calibration is completed.
• Clean production equipment ensuring all SOPs are followed.
• Report machinery malfunctions to the appropriate parties.
• Ensure all quality checks on the machine are done as per the required schedule and log statistics.
• Observe and adjust required production controls.
• Discard any products that are incorrectly packaged or damaged in specified rework bins.
• Apply approved methods, package the finished goods neatly into storage units such as trays, cartons etc.
• Lift packaged goods onto skid as required.
• Using pump trucks, transport pallets of packaged goods to specified areas within the warehouse for shipping.
• Ensure daily housekeeping is maintained.
• Ensure all activities are performed in safe manner.
• Assist with material handling (bring raw materials to production area).

QUALIFICATIONS

• No previous Machine Operator experience required
• Able to lift 35 lbs. on a regular/consistent basis.
• Able to handle 50 lbs.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Able to take instruction and direction well.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Able to read and write English to complete production logs.
• Quick paced and able to keep up with fast paced production lines.
• Team player.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Shift schedule: 5x8 Monday to Friday Evenings - Start Time 10:00pm to 6:30am. Hours may vary but no rotations.
• Working in cool and/or hot temperatures within the plant.
• Frequent bending, crouching and twisting.
• Constant standing throughout the day.
• Working with green coffee dust and exposure to noise levels above 90 decibels.
