Machine Operator/supervisor
Duties:
- Operate and monitor various types of machinery and equipment, such as CNC machines, lathes, and logic controllers
- Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper calibration
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for quality and make adjustments as necessary
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the production process
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Setting up manufacturing equipment for daily use
- Maintaining equipment and machinery so they can operate safely
- Training and overseeing other employees on specialty machines
- Maintaining the understanding of operating procedures for their machines
- Proposing improvements to the process or machines as needed
- Reporting safety hazards within the work environment
Experience:
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with using hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments
- Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements
- Knowledge of programming languages and CAD software is a plus
- Experience with welding or packaging machines is beneficial
Responsibilities
-Work safely in a timely and efficient manner
Keep work areas hazard free, sweep, clean, and put tools away
Load and unload, concrete products (up to 50 pounds)
May assist in quality control by inspecting product
Perform daily PM on machinery
May be required to clean mixer
Must have own reliable means of transportation as public transportation is not available
General laborer experience is considered an asset
