SalaryOur company is searching for a talented and experienced Machine Operator to oversee our Industrial Thickness Planer. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality log and timber frame products specific to drawings and our standards.
As the machine operator, you will be a highly skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail and great mechanical aptitude.
Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Set-up and manage the planer machine to perform different jobs.
- Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
- Ensure the planer operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
- Oversee the machine while executing the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Check the machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
- Record all machine actions by completing production logs.
- Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
- Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
- Conduct regular Planer machine assessments.
- Carry out daily maintenance on the machine.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- Ability to read mechanical documents and engineering drawings is an asset.
- Understand general construction mathematics (tape measurer, general math, fractions, decimals, measurement, measurement tools, area measure, and volume measure)
- Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
- Strong comprehension and analytical abilities.
- Good computer and mathematical skills.
- Forklift Certification an Asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
